Covid-19 Update
Things could change as we all continue to monitor the evolving situation with Covid-19, but at this time, we currently have our doors open, however we have modified our operating policies and procedures in light of the current pandemic.
Our top priority is to protect our clients, many of whom are considered high risk because of age or health issues, and of course to protect our employees and family members. If someone in our office were to be exposed to Covid-19, test positive, or become sick we would have to shut our doors and quarantine. This of course would make it difficult to service our clients as planned.
The vast majority of our clients already drop off, mail, or submit documents electronically to us through the “File Exchange” feature on their web account. For those clients it is business as usual. In addition, we have recently installed a large secure drop box for our clients to use to drop off information. The drop box is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If possible, we are encouraging all clients who are bringing documents by our office to use this drop box to keep contact to a minimum. It is also great for those who may find it more convenient to drop their information or even come by after hours.
For communications other than documents, most of our clients use emails and phone conferences. In addition, we are now set up to do video conferences. However, since the Johnson County Kansas health department has indicated that the highest risk of exposure is through close contact for more than 15 minutes, we are eliminating client office conferences until further notice. However, we do realize there will be a few cases where a brief in person meeting may be required. We can accommodate those clients upon request. Masks must be worn and social distancing rules followed.
In summary:
Each client is different, but we can offer plenty of options available to assist you. We are flexible and will work with you to navigate through the procedures that are most comfortable for you, while maintaining safe procedures for all of our clients and staff.

In summary:
- 24/7 Drop Box – this is the recommended method for clients wishing to provide physical documents.
- Office – Our lobby is currently open to drop off or pick up items. Please use a mask when coming in and practice social distancing for the safety of others.
- Carside drop off or pickup (not just for restaurants). Some clients have pulled up, called us and we then pick up from or deliver paperwork to them or place it in their car. This has worked great!
- Mail, UPS, or Fedex and courier options are always available and already used by many clients.
- Web Portals – Most clients are already using these. Clients can login and immediately obtain tax returns or securely send us information. Call for assistance if you need help logging in or setting this up.
- Phone conferences and emails is the principal method of communication for most clients. We can also initiate a video conference.
- Office conferences – We encourage other means of communication. However, if absolutely necessary, brief in person office conferences can be arranged upon request.
